Installing the App

Getting dashboardSMASHBOARD onto your Shopify store takes about two minutes. Here’s exactly what to do.

Prerequisites

Step 1: Find the App in the Shopify App Store

Head to the Shopify App Store and search for dashboardSMASHBOARD. Click the listing to open it.

Step 2: Click “Add app”

On the app listing page, click the Add app button. Shopify will ask you to confirm which store you’re installing it on. Select your store and continue.

Step 3: Approve Permissions

You’ll see a permissions screen listing what dashboardSMASHBOARD needs access to. We request read access to your orders, products, and customers — nothing more. Click Install app to approve.

Step 4: Choose a Plan

After approving permissions, you’ll land on the Welcome page. Click Choose a plan to select your subscription:

dashboardSMASHBOARD detects your Shopify plan automatically — you don’t need to pick a tier. Every plan includes all features. Your card is only charged after the 14-day trial ends if you choose to continue.

Testing on a development store? Shopify creates test billing charges automatically — no real payment is needed. Click Approve on the confirmation screen to proceed.

Step 5: Your Dashboards Are Ready

After plan selection, dashboardSMASHBOARD automatically creates four pre-built dashboards — Daily Pulse, Growth Tracker, Operations Health, and Year-Over-Year. The Daily Pulse dashboard opens immediately. No setup needed — all four are ready to use with live data from your store.

Troubleshooting Installation

If the app doesn’t appear after installation, try refreshing the Shopify admin. If you see a permissions error, make sure your staff account has the Manage and install apps and channels permission enabled under Shopify Admin → Settings → Users and permissions.
