Creating Dashboards
~4 min readA dashboard is a named collection of smashes — the goal widgets that track your most important metrics. You can have as many dashboards as you like, and share them with your team.
Creating Your First Dashboard
- From the dashboardSMASHBOARD home screen, click New Dashboard.
- Give it a name. Be specific — "Q2 Revenue Goals" beats "Dashboard 1".
- Optionally add a description. This appears as a subtitle on the dashboard view.
- Click Create. Your empty dashboard opens, ready for smashes.
Naming Conventions That Work
Dashboards are most useful when their name tells you exactly what question they answer. Good examples:
- Monthly Revenue Targets — tracks revenue goals against monthly targets
- New Customer Acquisition — focused on customer-level metrics
- Black Friday 2026 — time-boxed campaign dashboard
Adding Smashes to a Dashboard
Once your dashboard is created, click Add Smash to start building goal widgets. See Creating smashes for the full guide.
Managing Dashboards
Renaming a dashboard
Click the dashboard name at the top of the screen to edit it inline.
Duplicating a dashboard
Open the dashboard menu (⋯) and select Duplicate. All smash configurations are copied — only the name gets "Copy of" prepended. Rename it immediately.
Deleting a dashboard
Open the dashboard menu (⋯) and select Delete. This permanently removes the dashboard and all its smashes. There is no undo.
Dashboard Limits
Dashboard limits vary by plan. See Pricing for details. If you've hit your limit, you can delete unused dashboards or upgrade your plan.
